Early Mock-Ups

These two are only my second and third mock-up score experiments recorded in 1996 and 1997. The samples are bad and they are full of mistakes, but it was great to catch the idea and learn. A limitation of technology can be very helpful to make you focus on the real thing: the composition.

These mock-ups were recorded using a Yamaha PSR-6700 and a Yamaha V50.

Neuland

In 2009, I scored a biking tour. As an enthusiastic biker I thought: “Wouldn’t it be great to have music tailored exactly to the route I’m taking through downtown Berlin?” Within nine days I had 110 minutes of my biking musical called ‘Lights of the Big City’. It would start shortly before sundown and end on the bright-lit Potsdamer Platz. It was one of my most intense musical experiences so far.
